I made this today, substituting olive for canola oil (since I didn't have any neutral oil)- turned out really nice anyway! I mean since it's just 50 ml it's not noticeable :) for some reason the cake didn't rise at all (maybe the batter was too heavy and I would have needed more leavener), but that didn't harm the taste either.. just turned out more dense :) thank you for sharing the recipe!

When we were in Cuba a few years back, almost every household had these electric cookers. We never asked, but they were probably distributed by the government to reduce electricity usage.

Pressure cookers should be mandated by law. Think of all the energy we could save worldwide lol. Very recipe looks very tasty, but I'm easy to please. You had me at garlic :-D

I came across your website tonight when looking for a vegetarian macaroni and cheese, and I just wanted to say that I am so happy I did. This recipe is delicious! no matter that I've found it 4+ years later :) I used red bell pepper and carrot as add-ins and can't wait to experiment with other veggies. I also love that it doesn't include cheese, which I love but can't have. I'm looking forward to combing through your recipes for other deliciousness. Thanks!

Diana - sorry for the late answer, but as you may notice, we haven't updated the blog for a while... We are from Finland, so deciliters are what we cook by. If you look at the sidebar on the right, you'll find info about conversions. This blog was and is just a hobby, and as you know, learning to think in new measurements isn't that easy, so that's why we decided to use the ones we know and are sure of!
