Candice - I'm so happy for your tempeh success! Liquid smoke is pretty amazing, but I do love anything smokey... So if you do too, go ahead and buy it! A little bottle of that stuff goes a long way.

thank you! :)

i don't have most of the ingredients on hand for your marindade here, but i used an asian inspired marinade recipe from veganomicon and used your method for preparing the tempeh.
i made a sandwich for myself from the leftovers for my lunch today. i'm grinning.. i think i just had the best tempeh i've ever tasted in my entire life!

i see you use liquid smoke a lot. i've seen that at the store but have not ventured to purchase it yet. i think i'm going to have to give it a try...

also, i think i have to make that mango pie you posted about today... it looks like heaven!

I just did a search to find a nice baked tempeh recipe and stumbled upon your website. I plan on making a version of this for dinner tonight. Thank you for the inspiration and for the lovely website. I've been spending the better part of the afternoon going through your archived recipes... They all look so amazing!

Your tempeh recipe inspired me to make marinaded tempeh appetizers for New Year's Eve which turned out lovely! I also made flaxseed crackers with an edamame dip which I can highly recommend. :)

I bought 6 packets of tempeh today, I'm hoarding! It's difficult to get here sometimes so when I found them today I bought half the stock. Anyway, the burger looks amazing. I'll definitely be making this soon! Alex will love me for it.
