Olive Tapenade

This is a really salty spread, nice for snacking with crackers or fresh bread, and maybe a glass of red wine.

What I used:

  • 1 and 1/2 dl olives (we had Kalamata and some leftover green ones)
  • 3 teaspoons capers
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • pinch of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil

I ground everything together until a smooth paste formed, and then refrigerated it for a few hours.
